SENIOR PROFILE

JOHNNY LYNN, #2, senior QB and LB

1.When did you start playing football?

I started playing football when I was 8 years old in the Capital Beltway League for the Seneca Wildcats. I later played for the Montgomery Village Chiefs and then at Maplewood.

2. What is your time in the 40 yd. dash and what’s your best bench weight?

My 40 yd. dash is 4.8 and my bench press is 315.

3.Which, if any, football camp(s) did you, attend?

I have attended a few quarterback camps in the last few years.

4. What is your favorite college football team and college football player?

My favorite college team is the Maryland Terrapins because my brother attends the university (ED.-and now is on the football team). My favorite player is the recently graduated Tim Tebow of the Florida Gators because he was able to use his arm and legs to lead his team to victory. I also liked how he always was such a humble guy and wasn’t afraid to share his religious beliefs with others.

5. What other sports do you play at Landon? What is your favorite moment during any Landon sports event in which you played?

In addition to football, I also play lacrosse at Landon. My favorite moment in a Landon uniform was last spring when we came from behind in the IAC Championship to beat Georgetown Prep.

6.What is/are your favorite course(s) at Landon? Do you intend to pursue it at college?

My favorite course is History of War with Mr. Scott because I love to learn about all the different aspects of war and Mr. Scott does such a great job keeping us interested. I have not decided what I am going to study in college.

7.Tell about your favorite non-sports related activity (community work, art/music project, paper, debate, poem, extracurricular activity, etc.) while at Landon (includes anything off campus).

I love just being around my Landon friends on and off campus.

8. Tell us one thing (interesting) that your teammates do not know about you.

After my first organized athletic event, a soccer game, there was a small article in the community newspaper that read, “Johnny Lynn booted in the game’s only goal.”

If someone believes that a player or group (offense/defense; linemen/backs/ LBs/DB/Ss/P, etc.) should receive greater attention, I am open to such suggestions. I will not mention referees at any time and will limit references to the opposition.(d) that BSN is a volunteer publication and that as the editor, publisher, statistician and writer [me], I am all too fallible and I apologize in advance for any error.
