Prep 4 Landon 3

The traffic pattern out of Rockville Pike campus will not allow me to get home in time for a full report. (I’m in my parked car and sending from my Blackberry. The game was a defensive battle. The 1st Q ended at a 0-0 tie. And the last quarter was a shut out. The defense did a great job of holding down Prep’s O (averaging over 10 goals @ game. Landon scored 1st when Justin Murphy won the face off and fed Patrick Keena on a goal. Prep soon answered. Matt Opsahl, off a pass from Austin Dodson, put the Bears up 2-1 at the half.

The home team tied it up midway through the 3rd period, but Jimmy Sloan’s quick stick from an Austin Dodson put the Bears up 3-2. Unfortunately Prep scored the last two goals.

Will Joyce had a strong game in the goal.

The Bears were well supported by the large number of Enthusiastic Students and parents in attendance. A half hour after the game a long cordon of Bears waited to comfort the team.
