“David’s vision for boys and their athletic experience matches perfectly with Landon’s teacher-coach-mentor model,” the Headmaster said in announcing the appointment. “I know he will be a strong advocate for the benefits of a well defined and co-curricular athletic program as we put into place recommendations from our external department review completed by Kathy Toon last fall.”

In his announcement, the Headmaster expressed his appreciation for the efforts the Athletic Department’s interim leadership, Michael Derwinski, acting athletic director, and Paul Padalino, acting associate AD. Both men stepped in last August to manage the department for the current school year.

Holm’s appointment follows a national search led by Assistant Headmaster Neil Phillips, Dean of Faculty, Ed Sundt, and a faculty search committee:

Rob Bordley, Stevie Brown, Mike Cooke, Jack Duquette, Bobby Horsey, Kathleen Lubin, Brittany Martin, Harry Murphy, Paul Padalino and Alan Rosenthal.

The process also benefited from the input of an advisory committee of faculty/staff, parents and students:
