Landon Lacrosse 8 StA 9 Overtime

What can be said about an overtime loss to your traditional rival? Nothing comforting except that the Bears trailed the Bulldogs 0-3  3-5 and 4-5,but worked their way back to a +2 advantage in Q4 with 2:25 remaining in regular time. The Bulldogs equaled the score by 0:00 of Q4.

Both teams had their chances in extra time, but LSM #77 tallied his 3rd goal to win the game.

StA took a 3 goal lead in the first period. The next 15 minutes were all Bears with Anthony Savoy scoring @ 9:35 and 5:38.

The remaining time say the Bears tie it up on Kevin’s dodge from X and a shot over the StA’s goalie stick side. The home team retook the lead with two consecutive tallies to leave Q3 with a one goal lead.

The Bears ripped the back of the Bulldogs’ net with goals by Anthony Panetti off a Kevin MillerA, plus a Kevin’s beating 3 Bulldog Ds to tie it up. Two minutes the boys from Mount St. Albans made it 5-6.

Next, Kevin bulldodged the Bulldog D to tie it up The momentum continues on an EMO (an StA defender fouled Bear #8) and Anthony Panetti used his speed to draw a D away from Zak Oehlerking who quickly deposited 5 ¼ ounces of hard rubber behind the opposing G. Bears +2.

Using ALL of the remaining time (2:25 to 0:00) the home team made it a Holy Thursday by earning 2 goals.

Unfortunately, big #77 using his 6’ pole registered a W.
