Landon Lacrosse 8 Cardinal Gibbons 6

IL’s #2 rated team in the Southeast, the 11-2 Crusaders returned for an annual meeting with the Bears. The Raleigh team is always stocked with talented athletes and the fact that several of the visitors had Madlax experience on their resumes showed that they followed this tradition.

The Bears showed their depth in Q3 when the home team registered 3 to their opponents 1. The Landon D was impressive— many takeaways, frequent stopping the CG clears, speed, ground balls in abundance and anticipation.

The first possession by the Crusaders resulted in the White-jersey defense turnover the ball, followed by DAVIS OWENS’ GB turning into a fast break with his quick pass to SEAN MURRAY who blasted the back of the net with GOAL @11:12. CHASE ROBERTSON demonstrated his jets flying from high right, creating separation and depositing the home team’s second goal.

The NC players showed that they knew how to score when they broke a Bear clear and scored at 9:31. ANTHONY PANETTI showed his talent from X with a brilliant feed to ANTHONG SAVOY @0:51.5 The play may have been set up by the coaches’ time out at 0:50
