The Little Hoyas had every reason to expect to beat the Bears out on Rockville Pike. GP had a 9 goal win over fellow the Purple Eagles which in turn beat the White Rocks team by 7. Under simple transitivity, the expected win for the home team might have been +16. Ten players have Div. I commitments including the top-rated FOGO.
The transitive prediction was WRONG. The LanDon D forced turnovers, errant passes, failed clears and MANY STOPS (11 saves) by Hunter Taylor.

A GP coach yelled “you guys cannot make 10 yard passes”- actually stick checks, being off balance due to L pressure and close proximity to a brown jersey may have contributed to these errors.
At end of Q scores for all 4 periods showed always were a + or = for Landon.
The visitors were first to score when @9:30 Anthony Panetti blasted a shot which beat the Hoya G who is headed to West Point. The home team replied with an equalizer at 0:07.5
Q1 Bears 1 Hoyas 1
The team from Rockville Pike took its only lead by scoring at 8:36. Owen Calderone on a pass from Anthony P @5:46 to tie the score again. A shot by Kevin Miller caused a rebound which Zak Oehlerking caught and quick-sticked the ball for Bear Goal #4 @ 1:52 retake the lead.
Q2 Bears 3 Hoyas 2
Q3 started with another GP tally at 9:22, but the combination of a Landon EMO plus a Hoyas’ take-away followed by the return of the ball by a turnover. The ball ended up in the crosse of Kevin who buried the ball in the back of the GP net @4:45.
Q3 Bears 4 Hoyas
The Bears went to a +2 lead when Anthony scored again @ 8:34. Though LanDon had successfully defeated 3 previous GP EMOs, at 6:15 and then 5:24 the WaPo #2 converted their opportunities to tie the score.
A face-off at 2:56, Davis Owen, with help from his wings, beat GP’s #1 ranked FOGO. Inverted and coming from X, Anthony Savoy took a sharp angle and beat the Hoya netminder @2:39. Lead back to Bears.
The remaining 159 seconds were a battle. Control would lead to entry to the O zone and a battle cause the movement back the other direction. Back and forth they went until 0:00 showed on the scoreboard.
FINAL SCORE BEARS 6 HOYAS 5.
