The Maroon of Alexandria had already established its position as 4^th in the IAC with wins over StA and SSSA. WaPo, in its most recent DMV lax rankings, listed the High School on “On The Bubble” List.

On one of the rare springs (sun and warm) days at Tripplett Field at Bordley stadium, the Bears prepared for their post season play, as the undefeated regular season champions by playing all 3 goalies, 10 close Ds, 3 LSMs, all 4 SSDMs, all 13 Ms, all 4 FOGOs and all 7 As. Starting with the 1^st Q , 9 middies played, and many got significant Playing Time. After halftime, the seasoned watched their Bear Brothers play.

The Bear D went 41 minutes without surrendering a goal- a length of shut out that few have ever witnessed. NB the 3 starting close Ds will be back in 2025 plus the Nets Heir Apparent, Stephen Riso in Q3 stopped all 12 SOGs, he saw. This year’s stellar G only had to stop 3 SOGs to start the game.
