Landon Lacrosse 16 Saint Stephen’s Saint Agnes

Travels to this Alexandria campus are, more often than not, a test. The 2024 Saints have a lineup that includes 5 recruits, but an early season set of losses did not put the Saints on a good path. The pre-game Senior Celebration did not presage good play.

Within 7 minutes of the contest, the Bears has seized a multigoal lead while the visitors shut out their hosts:

COACH McGettigan and his 1st year keeper of the box, OMC Will Powell inserted a number of new players onto the field. The cascade of Landon goals continued to be registered in the scorebook:

More untested Bears earned Playing Time in the 2nd half and all uninjured Landon players played by 48:00.

The 3rd Q saw MACK COHEN display his speed and beat the SSSA goalie @6:18. The red-jerseyed Alexandrians put 2 points on the board at 4:46 and 2:46 to close their scoring for the game.

STEVE RISO stopped 2 of the SSSA shots, the Bears amassed 7 shots in Q3, KENDREN SMITH was 0/2 while HAYDEN GOOZH was 4/1 and 1 GB.

END OF 3RD PERIOD BEARS 14 SAINTS 3

The final stanza was all BEARS:

In goal RISO stopped the only SOG he saw in 3:40 and over the remainder of the quarter ELI GREEN saved the only SOG he saw. KENDREN was 0/1.

On 4/23 the Bears travel to EYE Street to battle the Purple Eagles

In his day, Will earned the nickname ONE MAN CLEAR because in this important transmission phase of the game, once in his stick, this talented Middie always made the clear single-handed.
