LANDON LACROSSE 16 SAINT ALBANS 8

[The Haudenosaunee Five Nations’ oral historysays that the Creator decided that the captains of the original game were the Deer, the Great Turtle, the Owl, the Hawk,  the Eagle and the Bear. The creator must have had a vision of our #50; for he chose the Bear, whose weight overpowers all opposition.]

Most sports cyberneticians subscribe to the theorem that is difficult to beat an opponent three tomes in the same season. For example, in the history of the uber competitive NFL, that over the past 40 years a triple win has happened only 21 times. The underlying premise is that after two contests, the underdog has learned the winner’s strengths and weaknesses. Add to that pattern the fact that two old rivals have had to play the troika in thrice in five days.

This game resembled game #1 in which the Bears were able to cut through the Bulldogs young defense and set up assisted goals at the StA net’s front entrance. Within the first 10 minutes, the home team had beaten the Bulldog goalie five times:

        Goal   Scorer                   Assist                       Time  Notes

1      Anthony Savoy        Graham Hertzberg 9:52

        2      Graham                   Stephen Bou           9:04

3      Graham                   Cameron Brown        5:55  EMO

        4      Anthony S                Graham                   5:01

        5      Kevin Miller              Cameron                 0:45

        6      Graham                   —–                          0:07

Over these 12 minutes the Bear D shutout the visitors—not only no goals, no SOGs and no Shots at all. Landon’s defense : Cullen Brown, Sebastian Fischbach and Jake Cohen plus a host of LSMs and the best lacrosse athletes—SSDMs, were dominant.

Hunter Taylor recorded no stats because he didn’t see any Bulldog shots. Nic Kopp was 6 and 1 at the faceoff dot.
