LANDON LACROSSE 13 SEVERNA PARK 9
The point of sending a son to a school like Landon is for him to grow- to learn from a rigorous academic curriculum, to develop a sound set of ethics, to be exposed to material that will make them more curious and better at critical thinking, to make music, arts, community service a permanent part of their life long interests—among other acquisitions.
Looking back at the 2022 lacrosse season it is clear that these Bears have learned a lot. For instance, St. Mary’s of Annapolis beat Landon 8-17; next point of measurement, the Saints had to go to 2ble O/T to beat Severna Park 12-11. SMA is now IL’s #3 team. The Falcons came to Bethesda expecting a win. Coach McGettigan and his staff have added to the roster’s skills, game strategies, field awareness and more.
The game was played under the HS Federation rules; so, there was no shot clock. Everywhere the ball went pressure from the Bears engulfed the SP possessor. Consequently, there were many caused turnovers recorded for the home team.
