The eight time MPSSAA champions with an undefeated 2025 record and an IL 16 Public High School ranking arrived at Bethesda with talent, great coaching and boundless energy.
The windy 400 weather did not deter the Falcons, jumping to a quick 2-0 lead (at 10:56 and 7:02) and the replied with two more tallies (at 5:23 and 0:58.5). Clearly they were ready to attack the Bears.
In between those two visitor goal scores, DEVIN STEWART’s pass to Aedan Cassidy @ 6:17 led tothe home team’s initial goal. On EMO Landon notched #2 with a pass from Aedan to Makana Neverosky @ 1:42.
The normally smothering ride team allowed the Falcons to clear 4 times and stop once, and the Bears’ usual success in transitioning from D to O was only 2and 1. The news at X and in the crease were equally disappointing. The Bears passing and shooting were both subpar.
1st Period BEARS 2 FALCONS 4
Period 2 saw a significant competitive response from the White Jerseys. @7:54 Riley Lugar showed his offensive skills with an unassisted goal. @ 5:15 Jonas Hawkins beat the SP goalie with his patented rocket. The barrage continued; this time Sean Murray connected with Aedan for his 2nd goal @2:23.
Stephen Riso put his jersey # 0, in the GA box on two SP SOGs. Landon put 7 SOGs. The X-man, Hayden Goozh, was 5/1 with a GB. The home team cleared 7 out of 9 times, while the visitors were 4 and 3.
HALFTIME BEARS 6 FALCONS 4
After the intermission, the team from the White Rocks continued on their spree. The Falcons attempted to clear, but a Logan Cassidy helicopter check resulted Makana Makana’s gobbling up the GB and scoring @11:04. Soon thereafter Sean earned an unassisted goal @6:27. On EMO Sean entered his 3rd A in the score book when Sean distribution fed Caden Southworth @0:16.7
The young Mr. Riso posted another shutout for this 12 minutes. Hayden was undefeated at X with 5 wins. Clears: Bears 5 and 2; Falcons 4 and 2.
3rd Period BEARS 5 FALCONS 4

Coach McGettigan added the experience of his depth with 6 Ds, 5 Ms, 3As and 1 FOGO getting time.
The Riso shutout stopped after 34 minutes of 0.0000s, 1 GA on 3 shots. Hayden added 3 more Ws at X, losing 1, and Kedren Smith was 1/1 in F/Os. Clears: Bears 5/1; Falcons 1/2
