Landon Lacrosse 13 Dallas Jesuit 3
The Rangers of Dallas Jesuit is considered one of the top lacrosse programs in Texas; the 73 year old high school has a student body of 1,000 boys. The Bears and the DJ played in a constant rain, but the moisture did not affect the home team’s stick work. The ball moved quickly and created many opportunities. Soon after the opening whistle, the visitors were called for a technical foul. The Landon EMO moved the ball to their senior attackman and Colton Rupp dodged his Ranger defender to blast a goal @ 11:02. Soon thereafter Kennedy Dunn, a senior middie, tallied the Bears’ 2nd goal @ 10:29.
The ball moved up and down the field; however once in their O zone, the Rangers were frustrated by a swarming Bear D. Several good DJ looks were stopped by senior goalie, Hunter Sells (8 saves). Rupper decided to create greater separation from the opposition by scoring back-to-back goals @ 5:43 and @ 4:26 [note; his defender is one of the recruited players on the DJ squad).
The Bear offense used its passing skills for their 5th goal as sophomore Ryan Pride moved the ball to sophomore Colin O’Brien who scored @ 0:11.1.
