LANDON LACROSSE 11 StA 7

There is no truth to the rumor that the Bears’ goalie has petitioned the NCAA and USA Lacrosse to adopt the NHL’s treatment of empty net goals for high school lacrosse. Hockey’s interpretation for attributing goals when the net is empty as follows:
In the NHL, empty-net goals are not recorded as goals against the goalie who is on the bench. Since there is no goaltender in the net at the time, these goals are not attributed to any specific goalie in the official statistics. Instead, they are simply recorded as goals for the opposing team. This ensures that a goalie’s personal stats, like goals-against average (GAA) and save percentage, are not affected by situations where they are not actively defending the net.
Though a ten-man ride is not precisely the same as a hockey EN goal, STEPHEN RISO would not have 4 goals on his record.
It was SENIOR NIGHT at Landon today and the 17 members of the Class of 2025, actually more importantly their parents, were honored on this dark and stormy afternoon. These Bears, Moms, Dads, etc. have contributed literally thousands of hours at practices, games, driving “to and fro” all of these events plus studying assiduously the HUDL videos. Every year the level of on field awareness and mental preparation increases. The proof that this part of the Landon pedagogical model, T/M/C can be seen in the numbers of lax alumni are elected as their college captains. At last count, the number of Bears selected to lead their college squads is heading towards 60. Teammates recognize their peers, the guys, who know the game, exercise the discipline learned while inside the White Rocks and understand what leadership means. 2025 will add to that total on their next levels.
An unfortunate pattern has emerged, opponents have been getting on the scoreboard first. Not surprisingly, the Bulldogs got a quick lead—after 7:24 had expired they had a 2-0 lead (BOTH OFF OF FAILED CLEARS BY THE WHITE JERSEYS).
The home team responded with vigor:
