[Thanks for Carolyn Bou and Bill Kurtz for creating most of the below. Bear 65 is dealing with nasty cough and sneezing; so we have the benefit of this upgraded account of the game.]

Heurich Field is the home of the Stags, a team with a strong lax history including Paul Rabil. The game started well with a Will Bou win at the X (17/21 for the game) and then a series of passes to Joey Graham whose dodge from the other point on the field known as X ended with a goal. At 10:30 DMCHS replied.

A Stags fast break accompanied with excellent ball movement resulted in their 2nd goal at 5:02. Mitch Laughlin’s excellent save at 3:36 kept the score close.

Garrett Kurtz’s laser pass to Landon Sells brought Landon into a tie @2:17.

The Bears drew a man up with 1:16 left in the quarter.

With 53 seconds remaining in the quarter, Gavin Seasholes sent the ball from up top to Joey G. (“top shelf, lit the lamp”)

In a last second attempt to score the DeMatha player attempted to dive—Mitch had a great save, but Bears were called on a push and went Man Down. The D held- NO GOAL
