LANDON HOCKEY 4 CALVERT HALL 3 WON BY BEARS IN S/O

The Bears faced MAPHL’s AA leader, the Calvert Hall College High School  of Towson. Cardinals Goalies have a less than 2 GAA in their games. Tonight, Landon Goalie, #30 JACK LACALSIstopped 22 Shots during the regular time and shut out CH in the shootout.

Both teams exhibited exceptional speed and passing as they flew up and down the Bears’ Den ice. The visitors scored 1st at 11:19 on a PP. The home team battled back by equalizing the score @ 3:34 by#7 MAX MARKAKOS with apples to #19 CHARLIE MAGRUDER  and #21 ELI SMINK The Bears used a rare penalty advantage and @0:36ELIbeat the CHnetminder with assists to #14 TRIPP SILVA and REID.

During the middle period, both team were engaged in defensive battle, with no goals by either.

The ZAMBONI must have improved the ice; for, the Cardinals equaled the score with only 1:28 expired. Three minutes later @ 10:36, #6 freshman OLIVER LINDER-BODAGER moved the puck to REID league leading 15th point.

At 1:30 remaining the CH coach called a time-out and pulled his goalie. The Bear D held the opponents at bay until a well-placed shot ended in the back of the nets at 0:02!!!

The shootout was decided by the 2nd round. JACK did not allow a goal on the Cardinals’ 1st 2 shooters; whereas #10 OWEN MOORE and REID beat the CH goalie. GAME OVER
