Landon Hockey 3 Winston Churchill 2

The Bulldogs, WaPo’s #5 team at 5-2-0 (losses to Bullis, BCC and St. John’s 2) arrived at the Bears’ Den with “ visions of a victory danc’d in their heads.” Landon, on the other hand, was missing several key players. Bears’ goalie, Phil Sears, stopped 17 of the 19 SOGs and the Bear D controlled the slot—every time a WC player entered the trapezoid in front of the Bear goal, several  Landon sticks quickly removed the threat. For two periods, the home team dominated play, but the visitors pulled their netminder to score twice in the last 105 seconds.

The Bears scored first @ 9:06 expired of P1 when Ishaan Sethi moved  the puck to Riley Knebel for the 1st Bear goal.

In the same time segment, Ishaan started this sequence with a pass to Quinn Farland who slide the “flat ball” (diameter 3”, height/thickness of 1” and weight of 5.5-6 oz ) to Owen Calderone for G#2 @ 6:29.
