LANDON HOCKEY 2 GP 4

First, Landon finished the IAC regular season undefeated and with a 23-6 goal margin; they hold the league title for that. Second, after both winning and losing, it has always seemed unnecessary to hold a tournament to add another trophy. Third, after watching over 5 decades of college and HS competition (25 of IAC), it has been learned that the past in hockey is not always prologue.

All of this preface delayed having to discuss the Semi-final game against GP. Suffice it to say that the visitors came out firing—1st period five of their SOGs resulted in a 2-0 lead. The Bears put 6 shots on goal for naught.

The 2nd period started more auspiciously with Landon’ #3 REID PERKHON passing to #10 OWEN MOORE for a PP goal @ 13:21. The Bear D was able to keep their opponents from scoring between 15:01 and 30:00.

The last segment again was marked by a positive event @ 13:21 a PP goal by #3 REID.

The effort to tie up the score was blunted by 2 GP goals at 9:48 and soon thereafter at 6:38. At every opportunity the Hoyas iced the puck and down 2 with 1:32 left on the clock, Coach Parker pulled his goalie and the 6 on 5 could not convert.

Final Score Bears 2 Hoyas 4
