LANDON HOCKEY 13 BULLIS 2

Bullis hit the ice with aspirations of beating their foes, the WaPo #6 Bears. The Bulldogs, 1-10, has some talent and fought hard throughout the 45 minutes. Home ice gave the Potomac school an advantage in line changes.

The game was an opportunity for a number of Bears to skate. Goalie Leo Quattrone L22 had his first start, made some key stops early against the Bulldog shooters (17 saves, no soft goals and the only times that he was beaten, they were PPs [one was a 5 minute term for a visitor in the penalty box). Ethan Goldman paired with Oscar’s brother, Arthur Smink, were put on the ice to face the 1^st line Bulldogs and they did well. Damon Pirku, Michael Hardie, Colby Sherensky and Nick Hebert, who all have had significant time already, showed their skills against the Anchor Sweatered opponents’ top players.

FIRST PERIOD

As Yogi Berra famously coined a phrase, we saw the Will Lawrence show déjà vu all over again—1^st goal @ 10:50 on an end-to-end rush plus an A to Oscar Smink. Then rerunning the film from the Gonzaga game with another Willgoal @ 8:32 with assists to Kareem Al-Azem and Oscar.

A new number appeared in the scorecard when Kyle Radimer score with a helper to Matthew Brille @3:04.

On the Bears’ 2^nd PP, they converted—Joey Graham to JH Lages to Will (hat trick in 1^st period) @1:50.

Another Bulldog penalty fed the Bears’ PP team another opportunity—Joey assist to Tom Kenary goal @ 0:11.

The Bear started off the Middle Period with another PP goal with Matt sliding the puck to Jacob Hookman-Vassa who hit a slapshot past the BS goalie @12:54.

The home team scored its first goal on a PP at 6:55 and Leo was screened.

The Tryptic of this Bear art creation was shorter due to running time. Joey scored his 3^rd @ 6:23 with helpers to Ethan Weinstein and Jacob. The “icing on the cake” was Tommy’s second goal @10:97 with helpers to Coby Sherensky and Ethan. The lucky 13^th was tallied by JH with the A from Matt @ 6:18.

A five minute major gave the home team an opportunity to narrow the margin. They did get one goal at 4:49,but did not add to their total.
