Landon Hockey 12 Bullis 2

Bullis hit the Rockville Ice Arena #3 rink with a 1-2 record. Because it was 70o and high humidity the Plexiglas around the boards were fogged. At the end of 3 periods (the clock ran for the last period under goal differential rules.),the Bears won 12-2 and added win #11 to their record.
The play was marked by the visitors controlling the puck- if the Potomac Bulldogs (there are a total of 3 IAC teams which have this animal as a mascot) got possession in their O zone, the Bears’ forechecking frequently kept the puck in their end; one v. one’s were dominated the Brown sweatered skaters; the poor Bullis goalie may have qualified for Workers’ Compensation as 33 shots hit him or the back of his net; in their own O zone the visitors moved the puck well.
While all of these are positive observations, the Landon team needs to pick up their game next Wednesday against the Stags of DeMatha (11-3-1{the Stags website is both confusing and duplicative; hope that this is right} WaPo #5) another more tested team.
Max Weinstein made 8 saves.
