Landon Hockey 10 Bullis 0

The Bulldogs of Potomac (as opposed to the Bulldogs of Rockville Pike and the Bulldogs of Mount St. Albans—no originality as to mascots) hit the Bears’ Den full of expectations and energy. The visitor hung tough with the Bears for the 1^st five minutes, then the roof fell in.

Bear extraordinaire and freshman Will Lawrence broke through the Bullis defenses and scored @ 10:33 with assist from Ethan Weinstein and Joey Graham. Soon thereafter, JH Lages fed Ryan Giles with a super pass setting up the speedy forward on a breakaway. The Junior scored @9:10 with the Bulldog goalie still looking for the puck.

Less than a minute later, Jake Davidson with helpers from Jake Cohen and Nick Khramtsov scored @ 8:07. Jake C’s shot from the point was redirected by Jake D for this goal.

The referees called a penalty on the visitors and the Bears’ PP converted. Will and Ryan moved the puck within the crowded space around the goal and got it to Joey for goal #4 @7:25.

The Bullis coach decided that the starting goalie had seen enough of the Landon O. The Jordan Rose to Jake D to Nick (scorer) combined for the next goal @5:46.

During the first 15 minutes the Bears were called for two penalties. The PK skaters outshot the Bulldogs during the 4 minutes of 5-on-4 skating.

Max Weinstein faced 2 shots and stopped both. The Bear’s O put 20 SOGs.

END OF 1^ST PERIOD BEARS 5 BULLDOGS 0

Coach Erickson used the remainder of the game to get IAC/MAPHL experience; in particular, it was an opportunity for some of the players, who showed their mettle in Pittsburgh, to test their skills in league play. Jordan Dinesman put the puck in the back of the Bulldog net @12:35—assists to Jackson Need and Kyle Radimer.  A player just called up from the JV to be on the Varsity Roster. Jacob Hookman-Voss (not 100% sure of spelling, ☹) took his 1^st shot with the team and SCORED @0:46 with assists to Nick and Jake D.

The +7 margin under league rules mandated a running clock. Max stopped all 4 shots fired by Bullis whilst his teammates fired 20 more SOGs.

END OF 2^ND PERIOD BEARS 7 BULLDOGS 0

Landon added three more tallies between minutes 31 and 45. Jordan D his goal #2 @13:01 with help from Tommy Kenary. The last goal was the product of the work of JH and Kareem El-Azem getting the puck to Kyle for a goal @5:12.

Max saw some challenges (4 saves) in the last period with the Bulldogs taking some good shots. Max earned a shutout on 11 saves. The Bears O had 6 SOGs (game =46).
