Landon Hockey 1 Georgetown Prep 4

One would assume that the little Hoyas dominated play; not so. The Bears outshot the visitors 35 to 28. The first period was a battle between the IAC/MAPHL foes with the only score came on a tough rebound off of Ty Morton’s great save (game total for Ty=24)  of the initial shot.

Minutes 15:01 to 30:00 was another constant battle. On a powerplay goal, Joey Graham scored @2:14 with assists to Kareem El-Azem and Ryan Giles. GP scored at 10:08 to take the lead (it was at the end of a PP, but after the 2 minutes). To add to the Bears misfortune, a breakaway by GP resulted in a Short-handed goal.

The last period saw 26 penalty minutes assigned pretty evenly between the two teams. The last foul was a 5 minute against Landon; the Bear PK worked valiantly against the GP advantage. With 0:25.1 remaining the Hoyas put in an EN goal.

From the first minute to the last all Bears played with high intensity; among a universal effort, a few players deserve extra credit for their hard work (in order of their sweater numbers): Ty,Jordan Dinesman, Kyle Radimer, Jacob Hookman-Voss, Kareem El-Azar and Will Jarrett.
