Landon Football 14 Bullis 41

Bullis hit the Landon campus with Montgomery County Police with their sirens at full blast. That emotional release propelled the Bulldogs to a 14-0 1st quarter lead. Those scores may have benefitted from two early Bear fumbles.

This opening paragraph overlooked that the Potomac squad has, according to MaxPreps, many players tipping the scales at 225# +, including a kicker who is big enough to be a tackle and who kicked the ball into the Landon end zone at every opportunity. The Bulldogs have a QB with interest from many Power Five Schools and a 6’3” 200# sprinter WR who, according to 247Sports, has offers from BC, ECU, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan Temple and Tennessee. A DB who committed to West Virginia in June over 11 other offers. All of the above players were graded higher than the GP stud running back. A 6’1” 220# *** ILB who has committed to UMass.

The Bears fought hard all 48 minutes—

Q1 stopping the visitors 4 times- goal and 5; goal and 6; goal and 1; finally goal and 1

Q1-2 driving 82 yards in 10 plays to score

Q2 stopping Bullis on a 4th and 1

Q2 driving 80 yards in 14 plays to bring the score to 14-21

Q4 driving 65 yards in 11 plays only to see the clock hit 00:00:00

The visitors scored Q1on a 65 yard punt return by its sprinter, Q1 on a one play 26 yard TD pass, Q2 on a 5 yard pass, Q3 opening drive 4 plays 40 yards with a QB sneak to go over the goals line, Q3 a 62 yard pass, Q4 two FGs one 35 and one 30 yards.

Many Bears played to the max. All deserve credit, but it iss not appropriate to single out any while possibly missing one who was equally deserving.
