3 min read

The 18th victory of the season was a defensive war with theBearsrelying on their strength around the goal to assure a victory against Urbana. It was senior night and the 14 members of the Class of 2011 and their parents (siblings) were honored before the game started. The starting lineup included 10 of this class who have contributed so much to this season and the preceding lax seasons. The lineup at the end was primarily composed of players who will contribute to future senior days.

The Bears won6-2 with all of the Landon scoring in the 2nd and 3rd Quarters. The control of the game was also based largely on the Bear defensove unit and t Justin Murphy’s domination of the X, winning 9 of 9 of his faceoffs against three different Hawks.

The first quarter was uneventful; no goals, few shots and even fewer SOGs.

The second quarter was bracketed by the visitors’ goals; the Hawks scored at 9:57 and 1:59 (no Urbana roster was available). Garrett Fellows was the first Bear in the scorebook at 9:01 on a feed from Matt Potolicchio. Soon thereafter, Will Laco received a nice pass fromPatrick Keena at 6:05.
