LANDON 19 MADISON 5 [H] 4/15

James Madison was an oracle for “checks and balances” and expressed concerns about taxes; so it is appropriate for the Bears to play the James Madison Warhawks on Tax Day. The visiting team was kept off balance by the Bears and not many checks were thrown by their foes.

Landon scored the 1st 5 goals (actually a Warhawk goal in that first period was disallowed and a penalty assessed due to the shooter’s use of an illegal stick).  At half it was a 12-1 and 15-1 at the end of the 3rd Q.

The home team had points  from 13 different players–

the first goal by Kiel Wiegmann.

 John Blizzard fired in 4 goals,

Will Laco had 2 Goals and 2 Assists;

 Tommy Minkler and Will Korengold each had 2Gs, 1A

Matt Opsahl and Bradley Grossman each had 2Gs

Patrick Keena had 2As

Peter Laco, Jack Strabo,Hank Brown and Wes Lincoln all scored single goals

The usual corps of  Landon D-men  made life miserable for the Warhawks and once a comfortable margin was achieved, the visitors faced relentless pressure from Robert Leachman, Jon Matthews,Tim Hettermann, Milan Bhatt, Andrew Roach and Mark Strabo. If one of the visitors’ O-men got passed that phalanx, they faced Will and then Alex Joyce, Tyler Nichols and Alex Becker.

6B.is it true that 90,00 fans at FedEx field hear your Mom vociferously say “Keep Shooting” during a Skins game? It is true that 90,000 fans can hear my mother but she isn’t saying keep shooting. It’s usually DEFENSE or Hit em!
