Landon Current Bears commit to continue committing to play for Colleges

These are the early commits and it is expected that others (football, water polo, others) will be announced. Here’s the news from the Landon Communications Department (for those not on their information subscription list):

2015 commits

Ten members of the Class of 2015 have committed to play Division I or Division III college athletics next year. The boys — seven lacrosse players, two golfers and one baseball player — will attend institutions that include Dartmouth College, Cornell University and the United States Naval Academy. This is just the first round of commitments; in the spring, more current seniors will announce their plans to participate in NCAA sports.

“These boys have worked hard in the classroom and on the field, and provided our underclassmen with an exceptional model of the qualities of perseverance, teamwork and sportsmanship that we prize at our school,” Director of Athletics David Holm said. “I’m so proud of our Landon Bears and excited to see them compete, excel and continue their growth as student-athletes in college.”

The 10 seniors who have committed to play college athletics are listed below. They join 23 members of the Class of 2014 who now compete in Division I or Division III sports.

This was the Redman’s only loss to a team in their league and lost to a US team in a Fall Ball match. Lacrosse, not hockey, is the national sport of our neighbors to the North.
