BearSportsNews Sunday Edition
Statement of BearSportsNews Goals
These posts exist because in the ‘60s (19 not 18), there were 2 daily newspapers and there were column inches on high school games. The highlight of Saturday mornings was reading about some Bear’s exploits.
If it is not too pompous to presume that this site merits an “editorial policy”, the scribblings are always positive to all things Bear (technical term “homer” or more appropriately “DENer”?). This affirmative bias does not allow criticism of opposing teams or officials (some very subtle points may be read as mild chiding).
BSN has ABSOLUTELY NO CONNECTION with the school, the administration, the AD, any coach, or the communications team. No prior approval, no endorsement and no assistance. It is the work product of A volunteer and suffers from the absence of an editor or proofreader (save spell check). The accounts try to capture the contributions of individual Bears (see ‘60s reference), of the team and of visually/manually collected data. Though the goal is to get it right, 76 year old eyes are not as sharp as when they captured the lax stats for the Princeton Tigers.
THAT SAID, BSN WELCOMES ALL FEEDBACK (+ AND -), CORRECTIONS, ADDITIONS AND ANCILLARY COMMENTS. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTRIBUTE YOUR THOUGHTS- to me @sandy_murdock@yahoo.com or on the webpage.
