INSIDE THE WHITE ROCKS

BEAR TRACKS

All winter sports have completed their seasons. Soon, there should be more individual awards like:

BASEBALL Coach Martinez, former Pigskin Club DMV coach of year, inherits a squad with talent and has added some players. In winter like weather, the Bears scrimmaged Flint Hill. STAY TUNED FOR 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF WASHINGTON SENATORS WORLD SERIES, MANAGER/ 2ND BASEMAN BUCKY HARRIS, Bear father and grandfather led that team. A cub reporter for the WASHINGTON POST, SHIRLEY POVICH, wrote the box score of the game!!! THE BEARS WILL PLAY THE TIGERS OF JACKSON- REED!!! First regular season game 3/9 v. Paul VI.

GOLF Coach Luther’s HAS foreBEARs his squad to emulate in facing a demanding IAC, MIAA and WCAC set of matches.

LACROSSE Coach McGettigan returns a number of talented, seasoned players, including several high profile recruits. The 2024 schedule is almost as challenging as that faced by the 2017 team. A scrimmage against highly regarded Boys Latin went well for the Bears.

RUGBY Coaches Beckoff and Klingelhofer follow a2023 record with a challenging schedule this year.

TENNIS Coach Miller continues in the Landon Tennis tradition of great teams faced with exacting competition. First match 3/11 v. Wooton on the Maclear Jacoby Courts.
