  • Lacrosse RULES ALL IAC lacrosse recognition (7) including POY.

  • Baseball places 3 on ALL IAC

  • Rugby wins 3rd MAVRC; 

  • Golf has 2 ALL IAC players;

  • Tennis puts 2 on the ALL IAC honors list

  • Track and Field has a Discus/Shot Put Bear on the ALL IAC team

47 Bears in 9 sports and 4 levels (5 pros included)

  • SOCCER– Pro—DC United player, Bear ‘23, significant playing time

WINTER SPORTS

  • BASKETBALL- Pro is 🔼 his stats

SPRING SPORTS

  • BASEBALL-6—Two are 5th year players and 4 other Div. III –all contributors. TWO BEARS ARE SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTERS TO THEIR NATIONALLY RANKED DIV.III TEAMS. 

  • GOLF-2 players’ seasons complete

  • LACROSSE –13 DIV.I, 10 DIV.III– total of 17 teams.

  • Rugby- 1—THERE’S GOT TO BE MORE????

BASEBALL Coach Martinez squad had 3 make ALL IAC

GOLF Coach Luther’s team placed 2 on the All IAC team

LACROSSE Coach McGettigan’s squad finished IAC regular season and tournament UNDEFEATED thus placing7BEARS on the ALL IAC roster

The WaPo chose NATHAN FURGESON, IAC FOOTBALL POY, ALL MARYLAND WRESTLER and STUD SSDM CAPTAIN LACROSSE for all to see when they click on the High School electronic score page.

RUGBYCoaches Beckoff and Klingelhofer’s ruggers win their 3rd-in-a-row MAVRC championship via a 24-19 win over Gonzaga.

TENNIS Coach Miller’s net men earned 3 ALL IACs

TRACK and Field puts a BEAR as ALL IAC Discus and shot put. 

  • JV Lacrosse Coach Chris Hughes had a 11-2 record

  • Dane Camphausen L’19 (Case Western Reserve University 32-9 UAA champions).starts NCAAs 5/1;7 #40 for the Spartans– 40 GS, 148 ABs, .392 BA, 58 RBIs, 13 HRs, 1.000 fielding;  sets CWRU HR record🔼 still playing in NCAAs 

Jake and Dane in NCAA Div. III baseball tournament and will eb near each other! Case Western hosting and Catholic traveling to Baldwin Wallace. Jake had been injured – hip issue – but is now healthy.  Stats are screwed up, but he pitched a strong inning in the Landmark Conference Tournament this weekend — no runs and stuck out the side!!

Also, Jake graduated last week with his Master’s in Science in Business!
