INSIDE THE WHITE ROCKS

  • Cross-Country

  • Bears take 7th in the varsity race and 4th in the J.V. race at the Landon Invitational, all culminating with the time-honored tradition of the “Alan M. Finishing Cry.”

  • Gilbert and Gino finished 1-2 in the Bears’ tri-meet with Georgetown Prep and Boys’ Latin. Team results: 1. Prep 2. Landon 3. Boys’ Latin.

  • Football (2-1)

    • In an epic battle against Woodberry Forest, the Bears won in O/T 13-6. The stats:

  • Soccer (3-6-3)

    • Beat SSSA 5-1

    • Landon 1 @ Georgetown Prep 2.  Full time.  Exciting, end to end game today at Prep.  Both teams had good moments on the attack and were stubborn in defense.  Prep scored in the 4:00 on a set piece, Landon pulled one back in the 24:00.  Prep scored again just before the half. Juniors Issa Mudashiru and Timi Olaniyi and Senior Paul Osmond all went the full eighty for Landon, and stood out.  Freshmen Moses Fishman and Conrad Brady provided quality minutes off the bench. Our goal in the 24:00 came off of a set piece play, served from wide right by senior David Bartley and headed into the goal by junior Josh Levine.

  • Water Polo

    • The Bears began their Beast of the East tournament in Philadelphia with a big 13-7 win over Upper Dublin!

    • Tough 11-15 loss against Germantown Academy.

    • Tough loss to a tough La Salle team, 13-4.

  • Teacher/Mentor/Coach

It is more than a slogan. A Bear teacher/mentor/coach and a Mom of Bear Alumnus takes time outside of the work week to support one of her 3rd grade students. Mrs. Brown is SPECIAL and so are her Bear peers!!!
