BASKETBALL—6-4 Coach Turner took his Bears to the Big Shots Boo Williams Legacy Classic where they placed 5th in a challenging 12 team field. Two were recognized for their play
  • LANDON SCHOOL (MD)    11    RORY    PERKINS    2023    6’2    G    

Perkins is a tough lefty guard who is a two way player. He shoots it well and is the top scorer on a young Landon School (MD) team that showed major grit defensively going 2-1.

Wells is a catch & shoot 3-point shooter and defends the perimeter well. He hit big shots for his team down the stretch and made plays on the defensive end in the wins. 

Back in the DMV, Landon beat Potomac 61 – 56 on their home court.

Woodberry Forest (4-1)with wins over good programs and a 6’10” center beat the Bears 60-52 at Landon. Coach Turner’s squad played incredible D throughout the game.

HOCKEY— 3-0 two league wins –SSSA 10-0, Archbishop Spaulding 5-1 (away)—and then beat  ISHL and  ANC Champions Kiski Prep 3-1.

WRESTLING Several Bears placed well in  Ray Oliver hosted by the McDonogh school and the Holloway at St. James. This weekend Coach Katz’s mat men are competing in the super competitive Magruder Mad Mats. This young crop of Bears shared #1 with the hosts!!! WON !!!
