WRESTLING – COACH KATZ’s record of keeping the BSN readers informed is only exceeded by his team’s success on the mats—his preview of ’24-‘25
Wrestling season is upon us. We will start practice two weeks from today. We ended the season last year 13-3. We won the IAC for the third year in a row (5 out of the last six seasons). We ended up 6th at the State tournament and ranked 6th in the DMV by the Washington Post. We lost several Seniors including State Champions, James Hanley, Nate Furgeson, and Will Levy. This season, the Bears will be challenged by both Bullis and Prep. We have a lot of experience coming back and we should be a pretty strong dual team. We are relying on the leadership of the Senior class to guide this young team to victory. For the third year in a row, we will have over 50 wrestlers on the team. Here is a run-down on the projected line-up.
