Cross-Country

Tom DiChiara invited teams to compete against his runners in the Mark Ferris invitational (boys and girls): 

The Landon Varsity Boys team finished 3rd overall with a total score of 85 points

  • James Carter: 10th place in the Varsity Boys race with a time of 17:05. 

  • Michael Nguyen: 15th place in the Varsity Boys race with a time of 17:25. 

  • David Kim: 20th place in the Varsity Boys race with a time of 17:45. 

  • Alex Thompson: 38th place in the Varsity Boys race with a time of 18:10 

Football

Coach Padalino’s squad (2-1) suffered the triskaidekaphobia  curse against WaPo #17, 2023 12-1 (one loss to Bears) and DCIAA Division Champ, DUNBAR. Maret next week. 

Water Polo

Coach Ros’ squad went to Annapolis to compete in the Battle of the Beltways.

Soccer

Coach Reed side, plagiarizing a famous Crimson headline Landon beats the WaPo#1 The Heights 3-3 Then beat DeMatha 1-0. The Bears are in Philly today and will face Hill.

Hockey Alum and Carroll Mercer Marbury winner offers guidance on weather

Member of a Landon family, who played ice hockey and received the school’s prestigious award, LOGAN GILES L’16, has created an INFORMATIVE website, LOGAN’S WEATHER WEB. This favorite WX man has been offering insights about local weather and like W*USA’s Topper Shutt L’77, Logan does more than post the numbers, but explains the science behind temperature, precipitation, sun/clouds and predictions. His insights allow his readers to understand the otherwise seemingly randon conditions.
