He took third place at National Preps and secured Maryland Independent Schools and Interstate Athletic Conference championships. Brown went 33-4 for the Bears.

BASEBALL- (5-1) Coach Powers’ nine beat Nobles and Greenough 8-0, Woodrow Wilson 11-4 and then Sidwell Friends
GOLF—Coach Luther’s (2-0)
LACROSSE—Coach McGettigan’s team (5-4) beat DeMatha 6-5 and trip to C’ville was a 2-0 sweep over STAB & Norfolk Academy plus a loss in a D battle with #5 PVI.
RUGBY—games on schedule, no reports
TENNIS —Coach Miller’s netters beat St. Paul’s 6-1
TRACK—Coach Hunt’s team was host to a large meet with boy and girl runners from MD, DC. VA and PA. The highlight was a exciting 4 x 400 relay won by the hosts in a photo finish over the school from Rockville Pike.

Four Landon Bears are playing college baseball this season: Juniors Dane Camphausen and Jake Davidson and freshmen Jack Cope and Matthew Sicoli. All four have earned substantial playing time on their teams’ pre-season schedules this year
Dane (Wooster Scots 8-6 ) the 6’7” first baseman has 3 homers, 19 RBIs and a .308 batting average.
Jake (Kenyon Lords 12-6) He pitched 5 innings of solid relief across his 4 outings (3 team Wa).
Jack (W&L Generals11-13) 7 appearances (1-4)He has earned a 1-2 record with 26 strikeouts in 26 IPs
Matthew (Emory Eagles 15-12) has appeared in nine games, 9 Abs, 1 triple, .225
Class of 2017 and Maryland alum Randy Bednar begins his second year in the Seattle Mariners system.
