Report by Steven Davidson

Four Landon Bears are playing college baseball this season: Juniors Dane Camphausen and Jake Davidson and freshmen Jack Cope and Matthew Sicoli. All four have earned substantial playing time on their teams’ pre-season schedules this year
Dane (Wooster) is a retuning all conference first baseman. He is off to another hot start, leading the Scots to a 6-2 record, with 3 homers, 16 RBI and a .324 batting average.

Jake (Kenyon) is a three-year member of the team as a relief pitcher. The Lords just concluded their Florida schedule at 8-6 and Jake pitched well in three outings, two of them wins. He closed out one win and collected his first collegiate win in the other. He pitched 5 innings of solid relief across his three outings.
Jack (W&L) has worked his way into the starting rotation, starting 5 games for the Generals. He has earned a 1-2 record with 21 strikeouts in 18 2/3 innings
Matthew (Emory) has appeared in three games, garnering three at bats.
Class of 2017 and Maryland alum Randy Bednar begins his second year in the Seattle Mariners system. Last year he was called up to Single A Modesto (California) and had a strong start to his professional career. Once the Mariners break camp, he will be assigned to a minor league affiliate.
