BASEBALL—COACH MARTINEZ’s squad’s 17-6 record includes an 8 game W streak according to MaxPreps. Swept EHS and Avalon. The Bears face Georgetown Prep (13-5) this week GP website says “61 players go on to play in college since 2011 and has 12 current players committed or signed to play in college….including Austin Weiss ’25 for making the Team USA 18U Roster.”

LACROSSE— COACH McGettigan good week: beat VA boarding school with heavy Canadian Roster LANDON LACROSSE 12 BLUE RIDGE SCHOOL 6and cruised past their penultimate IAC opponent Landon Lacrosse 15 Episcopal High School 5. Tuesday the Little Hoyas at home

Dane Camphausen L’19 (Case Western Reserve University 24-12-1). #40 for the Spartans—31 GS, 122 ABs, .361 BA, 47 RBIs, 13 HRs in clinching 2nd consecutive University Athletic Association Championship title. Graduate student designated hitter Dane Camphausen finished the game three-for-six with three runs, seven RBIs, and a pair of home runs, both coming during a nine-run seventh inning for the Spartans. He now has 13 home runs for the season, matching his own program record set last year.

Matthew Sicoli L’21 (Emory Eagles 20-10) #18 for Eagles, 40 GS, 149 AB, .376, 46 RBI, 3 HR, 15 for 17 on SB; pitched 1.2 Inning– Eagle of the Week Senior Matthew Sicoli collected seven hits, including two doubles, as he went 7-for-14 during Emory’s series split with #25 Chicago. Sicoli drove in eight runs across the four games, scored a team-leading seven runs and also reached base through three walks and one HBP. He was second on the Eagles in both slugging (.643) and on-base (.550) percentage in the series. He recorded at least one hit and one RBI in each of the four games including two three RBI contests.
