In an IAC/MAPHL contest at Ft. DuPont, Landon took an early 4-0 lead, relaxed a bit and drew FOUR 5 on 3 disadvantages for the benefit of the home St. Albans team. The visitors were without 4 flu-bugged teammates; everyone on the bench played significant minutes. Called up from the JV team, Peter Deckovik (SP?) played and SCORED!!!
The first 15 minutes were a typical Bears-Bulldogs contest. Up and down the rink with frequent physical contact. Yesterday’s 45 minutes of scoreless play ended @3:10 of the first period when Owen Calderone fed Quinn Farland for a PP goal.
Philip Sears in nets stopped the only StA SOG, while his counterpart faced 14 SOGs stopping all but one.
END OF 1ST PERIOD: BEARS 1 BULLDOGS 0
This 15 minute segment saw the home team occupy the penalty box two times1. The consequence was 2 BEAR PP goals [my report may be inaccurate, there was no announcer, and the Ft. D. sightlines are not great]

Arthur Smink added an even strength goal @ 3:44.
Philip stopped all 9 StA shots while the netminder at the opposite end saw 17 SOGs with 3 reaching the back of the goal.
END OF 2nd PERIOD: BEARS 4 BULLDOGS 0
Resurfacing the ice must have had some sort of SEA Change; for Landon encountered two early 2 skater disadvantages. StA converted both to make it 2-4. Plus, the Bulldogs registered an SH tally at 11:16 to put 3-4 on the scoreboard.
Coach Parker strategically called a timeout to settle his charges down. The result was the sweetest goal of the night with Arthur passed through a maze of StA sticks to Reid Pehrkon who had no angle but picked the near side, top shelf goal corner for a goal @8:13. The final Bear score saw a similarly brilliant pass past the crease where Peter Deckovik scored his first Varsity goal @ 7:23.
TheDC Bulldogs notched another PP goal at 3:27.
The Bear Goalie earned his keep with 13 saves in the last section of the game. StA’s goalie stopped 13 of the Landon shots.
FINAL SCORE: BEARS 4 DC BULLDOGS 4
NEXT GAME V. PURPLE EAGLES HOME 6:10 (not a league game)
