The Cardinals (1-5-2) were the Angry Birds arriving at the Bear’s Den after a Spaulding 0-7 spanking. On senior night, Landon did assuage the visitors’ pain with a 5-0 loss.

After the game the 7 members of the Class of 2018 and most importantly their parents were honored. Their jerseys hung over the home team bench and Fat Heads festooned the wall behind their cheering fans. The first shift featured five of the seniors—

He was not able to get to the ice because he could not leave his movie camera (his YouTube account is frequently visited by my grandsons).

Seniority did not prevail, but on the 3^rd line change, Freshman Matt Brille, returning from an upper body injury, hit the ice for the 1^st time, broke out of the Bear D zone with the puck, put on his jets, blew by the CH defenders and put his 1^st SOG past the Cardinal goalie @11:49, an auspicious debut.

The remainder of the first quarter of an hour was dominated by the Bears—14 SOGs and Ty Morton had to only deal with 3 CH shots

Ty had another 4 saves while his teammates peppered the Cardinal goalie with 25 shots.

Ty (7 saves for the 30:00) left the nets and in lieu thereof, Max Weinstein got some ice time and saved all 5 SOGs from the visitors. The Bears O added 5 more tests for the CH goalie (33 for the game), but mostly the home boys practiced their passing.
