D-I

Lacrosse season is finally here!  The Ivy League is back and the Big Ten is ready to take on all comers this year.  Mercer and Bellarmine kicked off the 2022 season this past weekend and the coming weekend has a pretty full slate of contests.  Across D-l there are sixteen Bears playing on thirteen different teams.  In both the Ivy League and Big Ten we will be following four teams plus three in the Patriot League.  Here are the D-l Bears of 2022:

Bucknell: Drew Wellington

Dartmouth: Brendan Gallagher and Brett Gallagher

Denver: Ryan Giles

Harvard: Joey Graham

Johns Hopkins: Joey Epstein (Co-captain for 3rd year in a row)

Loyola: Cam James

Maryland: John Geppert and Matthew Kopp

Michigan: Zach Johnson and Graham Hertzberg

Navy: James (JT) Thomas III

Penn: Stephen Bou

Penn State: Nate Buller

Towson: Mo Sillah

Yale: Jake Cohen

We will be covering 148 games in D-I this season and twenty-five of those games have Landon alums on both teams—Bears vs. Bears contests.  There are no Bears vs. Bears contests our first weekend, but next weekend we get Johns Hopkins at Towson and Loyola at Maryland to get things rolling.

D-III action has a later start with the first action for teams we follow in D-lll coming the weekend of February 12 and NESCAC (Amherst, Colby and Tufts) games starting on the March 5.  We plan to cover seven teams in D-lll this season:

Amherst: Nicholas Kopp

Colby: Miles Tonkel

Colorado College: Max Becker

Gettysburg: Billy Banfield, Mitch Laughlin

Salisbury: Jace Menendez

Tufts: Garrett Kurtz

Washington & Lee: Will Bou

Our D-lll schedule includes 100 games this year, seven of which are Bears vs. Bears contests.
