Sam Anas, onFriday night< Sam scored 2 goals and 1 assist beating Team USA 5-2. His line scored 4 of the 5 goals. In league scoring, he is now third in goals scored (34), third in PP goals (10) and 16th. in total points (58). Has now scored 51 goals over 2 years in the USHL.
“Where ‘Sammy’s’ really evolved is on the rush,” Phantoms Coach Noreen said. “He’s so dangerous. You know he can beat you one-on-one. If you give him an inch – a bad crossover, you turn the wrong way – he can turn you inside out. Because of that guys have to back off, and that’s where his shot’s become a weapon with his ability to shoot on the move.”
