BEAR SPORTS NEWS Sunday Edition 09/01/2024

Fall is here, even if the F thermometer does not show the right numbers. School inside the White Rocks does not start until Tuesday. Varsity preseason athletic teams have been practicing, but only water polo and football have had matches.

Football

Coach Padalino’s squad started with a tough MIAA squad, Boys Latin; the two have met 4 times before Friday’s game. The Bears showed a dynamic offense and a strong defense in a 26-16 win. Next John Carroll, north of Baltimore Friday

Water Polo

Coach Ros took his team to Philly to play against three talented prep teams there. That experience should help in a 9/5 4pm match against Archbishop Spalding High School.

Soccer

After a testing preseason schedule. Coach Reed side takes the pitch 9/5 4pm vs. Bishop McNamara High School

Cross-Country

Tom DiChiara sends his runners out away vs. GP Saturday 9/7.
