“Spiaggiare” is a composition by Brazilian virtuoso guitarist Yamandu Costa in collaboration with Argentine bandoneonist Martín Sued, accompanied by the Orquestra Assintomática. The track is part of a project where Costa and Sued explore connections between the Brazilian 7-string guitar and the bandoneón, creating a rich fusion that moves through genres such as choro, tango, and other traditional Latin American rhythms.

The title “Spiaggiare” comes from Italian and means something like “to beach” or “to drift ashore,” evoking images of serenity, nature, and contemplation—themes often present in Costa and Sued’s music. The piece is marked by the dynamic interplay between guitar and bandoneón, crafting a soundscape that blends the melancholy of tango with the fluidity and lyricism of Brazilian music.

The Orquestra Assintomática, formed during the pandemic period, brings an engaging orchestral arrangement, adding depth and texture to the composition. “Spiaggiare” is a work that celebrates improvisation and the meeting of cultures, showcasing Costa and Sued’s skill in uniting different musical traditions into an emotive and contemplative narrative.
