The XFL and USFL are set to merge into one league. Well, it looks like that league has a new name and it is the United Football League.

It’s a fine name, nothing overall complicated, or over the top. Yet there was already a United Football League back from 2009-2012. So, it may be a bit confusing to fans familiar with that league. I doubt it is a play on the nostalgia factor for that league. I guess we shall see if people like the new name, or not.
