Wilson’s BBQ and Grill — Emporia, VA

This is Wilson’s BBQ and Grill in Emporia, VA. The barbecue is real — cooked over a pit — and has a good smoky flavor. You can see the bits of outside char. The green beans were good and the black-eye peas with tomatoes (go figure) also were good. It’s definitely worth a stop if you can’t wait until you get to Wilson, NC.
