Who is the King of Today’s Cinema

Just like discovering the Queen of Today’s Cinema, I chose actors who have not only impressive portfolio, but a current one. They have to be currently making great movies and being recognized. I wanted Brad Pitt on this list (the # of his movies on the top 250 is awesome; his lack of Oscars is just plain ridiculous) but just couldn’t bump any of these three kings. Choose who you think is most deserving:

1.

Morgan Freeman

7 movies on the IMDb top 250 (The Shawshank Redemption, The Dark Knight, Se7en, Million Dollar Baby, Unforgiven, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight Rises)

2.

Daniel Day-Lewis

3 wins plus 2 nominations for Best Actor at the Oscars (only actor to accomplish the best actor “threepeat”)

3.

Jack Nicholson

4 movies on the IMDb top 250 (The Shining, The Departed, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Chinatown) as well as 2 Oscar Wins for Best Actor, 1 Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, and 12 total Oscar nominations
