What’s in my Couch Side Art Cart?
Hi friends! Recently, I repurposed a rolling cart to house some art supplies next to the couch where I like to laze about. I had been feeling really disappointed in myself because I wasn’t drawing as much as I wanted to, but at night, I was too run down to gather up supplies to draw with. Enter the frictionless art cart! It has made all the difference in my drawing practice, and it might help you too! Step 1. Get a cart. Step 2. Fill it with stuff. Step 3. Create!
Supplies (Affiliate link used)
This is the cart I have *Its a bit pricey on Amazon tho, there are more affordable options here
DaVinci watercolors in a tin (great quality, low price, perfect for teachers who go through lots of paint as the tubes are huge!)
Fountain pens (these dissolve in water)
Colored & Black fineliner set (waterproof and alcohol marker proof)
paper towels
cut up credit card for scraping
Scissors
Viviva folio set (awesome all in one sketching solution!) Amazon or Viviva *sorry, my discount code no longer works.
The Sketchbar marker sketchbook is no longer available but I prefer the Ohuhu one because it can take more media on top anyway
Ohuhu Honnalulu “B” set of 120 (brush and fine tip)
Ohuhu watercolor markers (brush and fineliner) *these are not good for heavy use.
The above links are for your convenience if you want something I put in my cart, but you can just as well gather up the stuff you have in a cart or box and do the same thing. Please feel free to share this post with any artsy friends who are trying to be more creative! I really appreciate it! Happy crafting!
