Florence Preux Hey Diane! I’m good, still recovering but I’ve done amazing progress so it’s good! Sorry I can’t come more to see you train on Thursdays… (I note that you missed a training, tssssssssss!! 😉 ). I’ll come watch a match but at the moment I’m still going back to my parents’ at week-ends. How is it all going??

Florence Preux Gosh you want it to be that specific!? I would say service reception – you can’t build your first attack without it.

Ally Cooper I’d say on-court movement would be up there. The ability to move effectively would determine how the technical skills of passing, setting, hitting, etc can then be applied.

Gary Beckford I would agree with movement, especially at the lower level, but still important but more overlooked at a higher level.

Moro R Segu I couldn`t agree more with Betty Varkonyi, I think anticipation of your opponents moves as well as your teammates. Along with this should be light on your toes and good movement

Mark Suheil Kontopoulos It’s hard to be absolute, or even pick one. But here goes.. Local league: passing (in the broadest sense, i.e. inclusive of reception, defence and first touch in general) Super 8: setting and service National team and Olympic: service and blocking I cheated a little bit by choosing 2 skills but everything is obviously interlinked and each choice is based on different assumptions.
