Satan is not idle and does not believe in cease-fires. He is very much active. And here is what he is doing.

  • Satan regularly challenges the authenticity of the Word of God (Genesis 3:1-5).

  • Satan instills doubt (Genesis 3:1).

  • Satan accuses falsely (Job 1:9-11).

  • Satan influences governments for evil (Daniel 10:13).

  • Satan snatches opportunities for God’s Word to penetrate the souls of men (Matthew 13:19).

  • Satan encourages hypocrisy (Matthew 13:39).

  • Satan makes some people sick (Luke 13:16).

  • Satan kills people (John 8:44).

  • Satan tempts us to sin (Acts 5:3).

  • Satan opposes holy people (Acts 13:8-11).

  • Satan discourages disunity (II Corinthians 2:10-11).

  • Satan blinds some men from seeing the truth (II Corinthians 4:4).

  • Satan deceives people by enabling and empowering false teachers (II Corinthians 11:13-15).

  • Satan interferes with ministry (I Thessalonians 2:18).

  • Satan introduces error to the church (I Timothy 4:1).

  • Satan persecutes Christians (Revelation 2:10).

And we also know that Satan plans to do even more in the future.

  • Satan will personally attack the nation of Israel (Daniel 9:26-27; Revelation 12:13-17).

  • Satan will empower the Antichrist (II Thessalonians 2:9).

  • Satan will continue to persecute Christians (Revelation 2:10).

  • Satan will lead a rebellion in heaven (Revelation 12:3).

  • Satan will convince people that some miracles are from God (Revelation 16:14).
