Welcome to week four, everyone, and also a warm (cool?) welcome to the more moderate temperatures this week! Check out the goings-on at USC Linguistics below.

Remember, if you have news to share, please submit your news for future issues of SCling Wrap, cause we need your help keeping up with what’s ✨fresh✨ at USC Linguistics.

Congratulations 👏

Please join us all in congratulating our very own Zoe Lo, Linguistics department Program Specialist, for being named the the 🏆September Monthly Staff Recognition Award Winner🏆 by the University Staff Club and USC Staff Assembly! The award is made to staff members who “exhibit constant and dedicated service and make a genuine contribution to the quality of life at the University.” Click here to learn more about the award.

Many congratulations Zoe, this wonderful recognition is richly deserved! Thank you for all you do for us in Linguistics!! 💯🙌🥳

Pets of USC Linguistics 🐈

This week’s featured animal friend is Ninja! Andrew Simpson, Ninja’s dad, says:

This is Ninja, now 14 years old. Ninja’s special skill is the shredding of important documents left unattended on desks (in particular student exam papers). Ninja loves the heat and will stay out in the garden even when there is air-con in the house.
