Week in Review – 28 September 2014

I had grand plans for the weekend. They included going for walks and out to Babcock (ICE CREAM!!!) and enjoying as much of this weirdly warm weather as we could. They are forecasting a warmer-than-normal winter at this point, but hello: it’s Wisconsin, it’s still going to be cold. And long. So anyway, I wanted to enjoy the 70s we are having.

Friday I stayed at work a little later than normal, even though I felt kinda crappy with a cold. I went to pick up Pete from school and was told he was napping (?), and because of that odd fact, they thought maybe he was sick. Lovely. While I was waking him up and hustling him out to the car, I got a text from daycare that Linus was sick as well. So off we went to pick up that little bugger next.

Needless to say, we haven’t done a lot this weekend, we pretty much quarantined our germ-infested selves to the house. Linus had some sort of flu so he wasn’t going anywhere. Today Pete and I had fevers so we spend most of the day burrowed in the warm comfort of my bed. I am soooooo tired, you guys.

All that said, I did bust out the camera in the few moments when we felt well enough to run around the neighborhood a little bit, or have an ice-cream sandwich on the front steps. So enjoy. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to curl up on the couch with my faux-fur blanket and some Revenge.
