Wednesday, Sept 28 Match Day!

Update: We’ve got Hope versus Calvin tonight, which is always a good one. Northwestern at Eau Claire should be tight, as well. Home court is huge and a NW win would improve their standing in my rankings (and also help Berry). (Small joke there.) ONU has been around 25th to 30th on my rankings so a match today where they can help themselves.

TLU gives UMHB another loss.

No idea on McMurry. Live Stats froze. Schreiner was up in the fifth.

Schreiner indeed wins.

Scores are posted. I’ll have to come back and do boxscores later.

Northwestern loses tonight meaning CMS is our only remaining undefeated team.

Sorry for the late updates on the boxes. I had pickleball last night and then went out. I just didn’t have an easy way to get them posted. Stevens Point needed a reverse sweep in their match. Calvin match wasn’t that close, which was interesting. Northwestern scored 9 more Points in that match despite losing. It’s a box score that you look at and you can’t figure out why a team loss. Maybe the most important number in that box score was the attendance number. 400 fans for Eau Claire last night probably helped pushed the defending champions to the victory.

Wittenberg looks to have handled ONU pretty easily. ONU had an impressive P/S number but they only had 52 Points in 4 sets against a quality team.

Schreiner’s Kayla Lofland got her 1000 kill in the match as the team improved to 7-7. Really good season for the Mountaineers.

Top 25 Results

Random Thoughts: One NWC match and two SCAC/ASC matches.

UMHB/TLU should be a good one. UMHB is struggling a bit (for them) while TLU has looked good. I expect TLU to take this one.

McMurry/Schreiner is another good one although the teams aren’t as good. Schreiner at home should win this one but it’s going to be close.

Linfield/Pacific – Give me Pacific but Linfield has been tough.
